Non-Violence Policy

SCDF's explicit, non-negotiable commitment to non-violence and lawful, peaceful civic action.

1. Foundational commitment

SCDF is, and will remain, a non-violent civic, educational, legal-clarity, and institution-building initiative. Non-violence is not a tactic of convenience — it is a foundational principle. The work of building credible institutions cannot be done by methods that destroy credibility.

2. What SCDF will never do

SCDF does not, and will not, promote, encourage, organize, finance, direct, support, or participate in:

  • Violence of any kind, in any place, against any person or group.
  • Armed activity, weapons procurement, or paramilitary organization.
  • Threats, harassment, doxxing, stalking, or intimidation — online or offline.
  • Property destruction, sabotage, looting, or arson.
  • Hate speech, dehumanizing language, or incitement against any community, ethnicity, religion, or nationality.
  • Any unlawful conduct under the laws of the participant's jurisdiction or applicable international law.

3. What SCDF asks of every participant

  • Reject violence in word, image, and action.
  • Refuse to amplify content that calls for violence, even in support of causes you share.
  • Report credible threats to lawful authorities in your jurisdiction.
  • Disengage from any meeting, group, or channel where violence is being planned or celebrated.

4. Independent conduct

Anyone who associates with violent or unlawful actors, or who personally engages in violent or unlawful conduct, does so independently of SCDF. SCDF disclaims any and all responsibility for such conduct and reserves the right to publicly disassociate from it.

5. Enforcement

Any participant who promotes, supports, plans, finances, or participates in violence — directly or indirectly — will be immediately removed from SCDF channels, the directory, teams, events, and the platform, with no further notice.

6. The standard

Documents over noise. Process over personality. Clarity over force.
