Terms of Use

The rules that govern your use of SCDF's website, assessment, dashboard, and participation tools.

1. What SCDF is

The Southern Cameroons Decolonization & Freedom (SCDF) initiative is a peaceful civic, educational, legal-clarity, leadership-development, and institution-building initiative. It provides documents, assessments, training, and collaboration tools to support disciplined, lawful nation-building work within the Southern Cameroons Legal Clarity Framework.

2. Use of the site

  • You will use SCDF materials lawfully, respectfully, and in good faith.
  • You will not misrepresent your identity, your role, or your authority within SCDF.
  • You will not use SCDF tools to harass, threaten, defame, or intimidate any person or group.
  • You will not attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse engineer, or attack the platform.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for the security of your account and for activity that occurs under it. You must be legally able to enter into these terms in your jurisdiction. SCDF may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or the Participation Policy.

4. No representation without authorization

No person may claim to represent SCDF unless officially authorized. Participation in the assessment, the Patriot directory, an event, a team of 12, or any SCDF channel does not by itself confer authority to speak for, negotiate on behalf of, fundraise for, or commit SCDF.

5. Educational only — not professional advice

SCDF materials are educational and do not constitute legal advice, financial advice, diplomatic authority, governmental authority, or guaranteed outcomes. See the Disclaimer for full detail.

6. Independent action

Anyone acting outside the Southern Cameroons Legal Clarity Framework does so independently and accepts full personal responsibility for those actions.

7. Intellectual property

SCDF documents, white papers, the assessment, and platform code are the property of SCDF or its licensors. You may share unmodified SCDF documents with attribution. You may not present SCDF materials as your own or alter them in ways that misrepresent SCDF's positions.

8. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SCDF is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, legal, financial, political, reputational, or personal consequences arising from independent actions taken outside official SCDF guidance, or from your use of, or inability to use, the platform.

9. Changes

SCDF may update these terms. Material changes will be reflected in a new policy version. Continued use of the platform after a change indicates acceptance of the updated terms.

10. Governing principles

These terms are read together with the Participation Policy, the Non-Violence Policy, the Disclaimer, and the Privacy Policy. Where there is overlap, the stricter standard applies.

Policy version 2026-06-05. By using this site, registering as a Patriot, taking the assessment, RSVPing to an event, or otherwise submitting information you confirm you have read and agree to these terms.
